If you are over the age of 55 and do not intend to work in Indonesia, you can apply for a Retirement Visa, which allows you to live in Indonesia, lease property, and enter and exit the country as many times as you want. The Indonesian Retirement Visa is valid for one year and can be extended four times under the same conditions that you applied under the first time. After that, you can apply for a retirement KITAP (permanent stay permit) that is valid for five years.
